2021 Western Victorian Crane Trucks Valley Stages

Message from the Clerk of the Course

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Western Victorian Crane Trucks Valley Stages.

This Event is Round 5 of the 2021 Till Hino (VRC) and Round 6 of the Victorian Club Rally Series (VCRS) and will be held on Saturday 6th November 2021. The Event will be based around Healesville Victoria.

The roads of the area are generally well packed forest roads with a few Shire roads. You will enjoy a wide variety of driving surfaces and conditions. A new short 1.4 kms stage around the racecourse to show off your sponsors to spectators.

The Event will run under the A-to-A timing format which is the standard for modern special section forest rallies.

The VRC will be conducted over 1 division and two heats made up of approximately 135km of competitive and 130km of transport sections. There will be 2 service breaks based in Yarra Glen where catering and amenities will be available. The VCRS will be conducted over 1 Division with approximately 110kms of competitive stages and 130kms of transport with 1 service and the VSRS will be run over approx. 6 stages 75-kms and no service with catering and amenities available

The VRC (and Heat 1) will commence in Yarra Glen followed by approximately 75km competitive finishing with a service break in Yarra Glen. Heat 2 will be approximately 75km competitive finishing in Yarra Glen which will also be the finish of the Event. The VCRS will start in Yarra Glen and will cover 65km competitive and return to service then another 55km then return to Yarra Glen for the finish

Another new addition to this years rally, the organisers will be using an SMS service to keep competitors and service crews up to date with current information that comes to hand.

The Western Victorian Crane Trucks Valley Stages finishes at the Yarra Glen race course for the post event social function and a presentation to the provisional winners.

There are a number of accommodation venues within a short distance of the Event start/finish & headquarters providing a range of accommodation styles to suit varying requirements.

The Event will be pace noted for VRC Crews only, while the VCRS component will be fully route charted/road book - provided on the day of the Event.

Friday (5th November 2021) shake down / sponsor ride will be also be provided at a cost of $150 in the Toolangi State Forest.

Full security will be provided on Saturday night, so Crews can set up at the Service Park and leave rally cars and service vehicles on-site.
